Born in Jamaica and raised in Overtown, Miami, Michael faced homelessness, bullying, and life upheaval before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps at 17. His nearly decade-long service included combat deployments to Iraq, specialized assignments worldwide, and surviving a VBIED attack, traumatic brain injury, and PTSD.

After military service, he navigated addiction, depression, and personal loss, ultimately rebuilding his life through faith, mentorship, and education. He earned a Bachelor’s in Information Security Systems and an MBA in Applied Management, lost over 150 pounds, and now leads a multi-tiered leadership training and consulting company serving Fortune 500 firms, government agencies, and high-performing professionals.

After the first few chapters of Break the Bottle, I was immediately inspired. I kept absorbing the positive energy and found it has led to not only motivation, but also determination. I’ve been looking for a book that does more than paint a lovely picture of who I can become. And Break the Bottle offers steps for me to personalize. And just when I think the author can’t provide anything else, he does. This book is a complete guide to overcoming my own limiting beliefs and busting through complacency to find my inner upgrade.  -AMAZON READER
